Transmosis Awards 20 Scholarships for Cyber Security Certification Training

Twenty Maryland residents have received $10,000 scholarships from Transmosis, a nationally recognized leader in workforce development, for cyber security certification training. Transmosis participates with state and federal governments as well as private sector partners nationwide to offer grants and scholarships. To date, over $35 million have been deployed to assist students eager to fill high demand IT jobs nationwide.

Baltimore, Maryland, February 27, 2019 Transmosis, a nationally recognized leader in cyber security workforce development, today announced that 20 applicants have received full scholarships in the Maryland EARN program. Each scholarship is valued at $10,000 and includes intensive cyber security training and critical industry certification vouchers.


We have received approximately 2,000 applicants for our Maryland cyber security scholarship program, said Chase Norlin, CEO of Transmosis. This overwhelming response has greatly outpaced all of our other scholarship programs over the last 4 years. Transmosis has actively participated with state and federal governments as well as private sector partners nationwide to offer full and partial scholarships. To date, over $35 million have been deployed to assist students eager to fill high demand IT jobs nationwide.


The following 20 Maryland residents have been awarded the $10,000 Scholarship from the Maryland EARN grant program: Ibrahim Conteh Ellicott city, Roy Smith Silver Spring, Candice Jurick Baltimore, Jesse Higgins Great Mills, Fikir Abebe Takoma Park, Diamond Jaggers Laurel, Vladimir Hilaire Pasadena, Achiangah Germaine New Carrollton, Karim Kibombo Columbia, Herbert Hernandez North Potomac, Nkegoah Bless Glendale, James Walsh Baltimore, Bzuayehu Ambye Silver Spring, Jason Holmes Upper Marlboro, Olugbenga Folarin Springdale, Samuel Belachew Silverspring, Richard Clifton Clinton, Sabir Hazratzai Riverdale, Blake Jones Parkville, Prathusha Padmanabhan Germantown.
