Swim World Pools is pleased to announce that they are officially partnering with Nashville-based First Care CPR to provide CPR and AED courses for their customers. Conducted in person at the family’s home, the complimentary safety training course will now be made available to all Swim World Pool customers upon request.“Adding a pool to your home can be fun, but it’s important to acknowledge the inherent risks that come with pool ownership. We know that, for the families we’ve had the honor of serving, keeping their loved ones safe is their number one goal. We’re providing free training courses to our customers because our team wants them to know that it’s our most important goal as well,” said Jay Tucker or Swim World Pools.
Upon request, Swim World Pools will send the First Care CPR team to a customer’s home at their convenience to provide Pool safety information and instruction in CPR & AED techniques. This training is a series of videos and hands-on techniques to provide skills and knowledge that helps families reduce risk factors and become comfortable with life-saving skills. Completion of the training grants the customer a CPR certification.
The entire course includes eight modules, with modules 1-2 and 5-8 being the topics Swim World and First Care believe are most relevant to pool ownership. While important, modules 3 and 4 may be covered with or without First Care CPR's presence. From start to finish, the course covers the following topics:
Module 1: Drowning Risk Awareness
Module 2: Water Safety in Pools
Module 3: Safety in Open Water
Module 4: How to Choose a Lifejacket
Module 5: Supervision & Recognizing Drowning
Module 6: How to Rescue
Module 7: CPR & Rescue Breathing
Module 8: Other Risks
Tucker went on to say, “Child drowning prevention and keeping families safe in and around the water is important to talk about. We’re proud to provide our customers with the knowledge and tools they need to enjoy their new pool to the fullest without worry.”
