Collecting rent and dealing with eviction can be a headache for property owners and managers. Each state has its own laws concerning eviction and it is important to know and follow these laws. As a landlord or property manager it is crucial to properly establish a binding rental agreement to establish the necessary basis for eviction if the need should arise. Glenn Dickson will outline how to lay the proper groundwork to collect rent with fewer problems and how to proceed if the tenant does not pay.Glenn Dickson is the owner of Complete Property Services LLC. He manages a portfolio of about 550 single-family homes and small apartments for about 230 clients and has been in business ten years. Glenn’s company has also helped clients acquire more than 400 single family homes. He has used much of the knowledge gained at RICH to grow and improve his company. He is a past board member and officer for RICH, an investor with 20 rentals of his own, holds a real estate broker license and has been in both residential and commercial real estate for about 20 years. His presentation will provide in detail everything one needs to know to successfully manage rental property, from vetting prospective tenants to the dreaded process of eviction. He will also discuss current rental rates and trends, rental demand and lease rates in Houston and the current real estate market.
A real estate investors club, RICH was established in 1979, to serve the real estate investment community of the greater Houston area.
