Kechara Media & Publications has published a fourth edition of their biography of Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, entitled The Promise, to educate followers of his life and work.

Kechara Media & Publications has today launched the 4th Edition of “The Promise”, an account of the extraordinary journey of His Eminence the 25th Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, a Buddhist teacher of royal Kalmyk-Mongol-Tibetan ancestry and the present reincarnation of a sanctified and glorious line of messianic incarnations, who has traversed continents and lifetimes to fulfil a lifelong commitment to the world.

The 4th edition reveals new details from new sources, showing how he overcame adversity and transformed his experiences into positivity and light for thousands of followers.

A child of royal descent born out of wedlock, given away to caregivers in Taiwan who neglected him, he was sent to America and given a new identity, far outside the typical monastic environment golden children are usually brought into. Against the wishes of these abusive parents, Rinpoche discovered Kalmyk Buddhist church in Howell, New Jersey where Rinpoche grew up.

The book includes encounters with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, His Holiness Kyabje Ling Rinpoche, His Eminence Kensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tharchin, Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen, His Holiness the 98th Gaden Tripa Jetsun Jampel Shenphen, and His Holiness Kyabje Zong Rinpoche (Rinpoche’s root Guru).

Notable in The Promise 4th Edition is a new section on Rinpoche’s rare and glorious line of illustrious incarnations which include Magadha Sangmo, a student of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni whose contribution to the practice and growth of Buddhism was so significant that she is immortalised in the scriptures of all three great Buddhist traditions; the Mahasiddha Naropa who bestowed upon Tibetan Buddhism some of the most important practices and the Abbot incarnate of Ganden Monastery, Kentrul Thupten Lamsang.

As Buddhas manifest as different beings, using an endless variety of methods to turn the wheel of Dharma to match the needs of the time, Tsem Rinpoche today has effectively utilised the world-wide-web to achieve this in this lifetime via TsemRinpoche.com; DorjeShugden.org; Kechara.com and others, and has been a lone figure standing up to the erosion of the purity of Dharma as a result of the politicisation of the Dorje Shugden issue.

A spokesperson for Kechara Media explained, “Rinpoche has a strong and rare reputation for being able to transmit complex Dharma in modern tones, with a strong internet presence, a blog with over 11 million unique page views today, covering a myriad of topics. Rinpoche is also unique and precious for being able to teach in English without losing the essence of the teachings which are preserved in Tibetan.”
