In a recent interview with the Bangkok Post, FashionTV’s Tom Light explained the company’s plan to put its seal on hotels after their cafes and restaurants has proven successful throughout Asia.
— Asia is now one of the most fashion conscious places on earth, and Fashion extends beyond clothing and accessories and well into lifestyle choices, even defining where is hip to eat and even stay overnight while travelling. FashionTV is an Asian cable channel that has expanded over the last 15 years to become a global phenomenon, keeping abreast of the very latest in fashion, and has expanded its reach to deliver its seal of approval (and distancing Diamond F logo) to cafes and clubs throughout Asia. The next step in the plan is to adopt a range of hotels so that the trendiest people can stay in the most chic of locations.
The new property developments will stretch beyond Asia to India and Dubai and will include residential towers as well as hotels. The plan is to bring the same cutting edge approach to fashion to the design of these properties, which will be dispersed throughout some of the world’s hottest locations.
The plan is ambitious and comprehensive, with 35 projects already planned to be launched before the end of 2020. Bangkok Interior Design Studio Marques and Jordy has designed an extravagant, diamond inspired construction for the F Hotel Dubai, complete with lavish amenities.
Tom Light, vice-president of business development, said in a recent interview with the Bangkok Post, “We are now in discussions for expansion within these regions, in particular Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and China. We have several Café & Club locations in Bangkok, Tokyo, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Singapore, and are in the process of opening in Pattaya, Guangzhou and more,” Adding, “This shows our popularity in Asia, where we have more than 200 million TV viewers, and gives us the confidence to expand to the region’s best hotels.”
