Cleaning and Structuring MRO Data Can Now Be Automated with New Warwick Analytics Software

Share this news:

Now, MRO professionals are able to benefit from rich and timely insight thanks to AMROC (Automated MRO Classification). The software converts unstructured and semi-structured data including text, logs and diagnostics into structured data for classification.

AMROC is a new product from Warwick Analytics which automatically transforms disparate and unstructured aerospace maintenance data. It has been shown to dramatically improve the insight available for aerospace operators, maintainers and manufacturers. The software is already being piloted by aerospace maintenance specialists Copernicus Technology.

Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (“MRO”) is one of the largest operating costs for both civil and military air transportation, and relies upon high quality and timely information. Analysis of maintenance & repair ‘free text’ data currently needs considerable human input by experienced personnel throughout the analysis cycle to ensure that the information is consistent and accurate.
The software automatically mines for thousands of different possible patterns from the structured and unstructured data and then structures and classifies the issues, based on these patterns, in near-real-time, vastly reducing the time taken to manually classify and quantify free-text maintenance & repair data. The data do not need to be cleaned and therefore are not subjected to assumptions and error.

Dan Somers, CEO of Warwick Analytics says: “The rapid automation of issue classification allows engineers and analysts to spend more time on value-added analysis and actions. The software presents a huge leap in accuracy and consistency compared to manual classification and enhances data quality and integrity processes. Fault finding, maintenance and logistics processes are improved by accelerating the conversion of raw data to sorted data.”

Giles Huby, Managing Director of Copernicus Technology adds: “The rapid automation of issue classification allows engineers and analysts to spend more time on value-added analysis and actions. AMROC presents a huge leap in accuracy and consistency compared to manual classification and enhances data quality and integrity processes. Fault finding, maintenance and logistics processes are improved by accelerating the conversion of raw data to sorted data.”

“We are delighted to be piloting this technology from Warwick Analytics. It is unique and extremely effective in reducing the workload of experienced engineers, as well as improving the accuracy. This helps to reduce aircraft downtime and improve the repair and maintenance process.”

AMROC will be on show for the first time at Hannover Messe 2015, Hall 8 Stand D09. Visit www.warwickanalytics.com for more information.
