In the midst of the growing ignorance of Indian youth towards our rich culture and heritage, what our country needs the most is a force that could persuade them to look back at the prosperous times when India was the most elite among all.This force can be nothing but an Indian saint who is beyond all worldly and materialistic affairs. A nation's progress depends, its youth holds a crucial role. Therefore, a nation's young generation must be moral and ethical. Such qualities persist only within those who have spiritual sacraments.
India has been known for its spiritual values for centuries taught by our rishis and saints. Over the course more saints have emerged than any other country. Saints are the saviours of the world whenever negativity is at its peak.
Our honourable guru Param Pujya Sant Shri Asharamji Bapu has a goal to make India the ‘Vishwa Guru', which means the master of the world. To achieve this goal, he has started ‘Bal Sanskar Kendra’, a volunteer based educational programme that uplifts morality, ethics and wisdom among the children and youth. It was established in 1991 and has been running all over India as well as in foreign countries. In the sessions several activities and practices are taught to the children to inculcate spiritual values and to pave the way for their bright future.
Ancient Hindu activities like yoga, pranayama, and learning of Vedic scriptures are taught. This helps students to develop their personality to be responsible and talented citizens of the country. Following these regularly enhances spiritual qualities in children. The Kendra’s main emphasis is on recalling the ancient Gurukul system of education once followed in India's prosperous times. St. Asharamji Bapu is a self- realized saint who wants children to conquer the same.
Spiritual knowledge, devotion, health, Ayurveda and yoga are the areas to be mastered by one for the grooming of their personality to achieve greatness. The most important thing taught to adolescents is the practice of celibacy. As what you eat affects your mind and the soul, tips and suggestions on what to eat and what not to are given to the children.
Overall maintaining discipline, concentration and controlling the urge for worldly pleasures are the sole lessons taught. No matter how much money we make, it is nothing compared to the bliss of devotion and solitude which can only be achieved by the guidance of a true saint.
