Asset College, an Australian tertiary vocational training organisation, has been named the winner of Queensland’s Training Award for Large Training Provider of the Year at the 59th annual awards ceremony.The award, handed down by the Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training, recognises Asset College’s excellence in providing innovative, best practice vocational education and training.
The Queensland Training Awards are spread across 14 categories, each aiming to celebrate the work of Queensland vocational education and training, with awards going to apprentices, trainees, students, trainers, teachers, employers, and training providers.

Managing Director of Asset College, Mark Costello, said he’s grateful for everyone who works with Asset College to create the amazing registered training organisation helping so many Australia-wide.
“This is an awesome achievement by the whole team at Asset College,” Mr Costello said.
“Just to be selected as a finalist alongside TAFE Queensland and CQ University is extraordinary, and to come out as the winner truly shows how much our people care about helping others achieve their learning and employment goals.
“I’d also like to take a moment to shout out Soldier On Australia for the work they do for our veterans; we’re honoured to be helping veterans find training and support while they strive for civilian careers,” Mr Costello said.

The college will also continue working with Soldier On as well as providing training pathways in Queensland communities, such as the security training emphasis in Cherbourg which responds to and responding to emerging industry needs in the security, cyber security, and transport security.
