Arevalo, the all new contemporary watch brand introducing bold designs to accent wearer’s individual style, is live on global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.Arevalo Watches was started with the idea of offering contemporary designs that compliment each individual. No matter a person’s fashion style, Arevalo wants to be a part of it. By eschewing flashy statement pieces that demand attention, Arevalo thinks outside the box to provide wearers’ with designs that will accent their individual style.
"For as long as I can remember I have always been fascinated by watches. I even remember the first time I went to buy my first watch. The watch I picked was a brown/green Timex digital watch. Doesn't sound like much now but I remember being so proud of it. I also enjoyed, and still do from time to time, going to the watch sections in stores and looking for the watch I would like to buy, only to find out over and over again that it was out of my realm of affordability. So, for the past year that's been the problem I've been trying to solve,” says founder and CEO Rene Arevalo on the inspiration behind the project. “How do I design a watch that is affordable and stands out from all the rest? That when someone looks at it, they can say I have never seen that before and as a bonus be surprised with the price. I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer Technologist, so I decided to join my design and drafting knowledge with my fascination for watches and came up with Arevalo Watches.”
To launch, Arevalo Watches is introducing 4 bold designs: The Triangulum, Folium, Pentagonum and the Circularis. The Circularis and Folium women’s watches measure 38mm and 40mm, while the Triangulum and Pentagonum men’s watches measure 43mm. All watches are designed with the highest craftsmanship and materials including sapphire crystal glass, genuine leather bands, Miyota quartz and automatic movement.
"I believe that life is about enjoying what you have worked hard for. What I want to bring to people with Arevalo Watches is a small but important part of that joy, fulfilling your wants once in while instead of your needs. When people get all dressed up, one of the last things they put on is their watch. When you put it on, you are proud of your piece. It completes your well put together unique look. Arevalo Watches will design and offer watches that are well thought out and different. It will add that “extra” to your style, and you will feel proud to wear your timepiece that you worked hard for and didn’t break the bank,” adds Arevalo.
