Awards were recently presented at the Association’s annual meeting in San Antonio, TX.Arclin’s proprietary new technology significantly improves adhesive performance with difficult-to-bond veneer surfaces, improving adhesive flow, penetration and bond quality for veneers applied to LVL and plywood surfaces.
“This technology provides tremendous opportunity to the market to address the challenges in bonding veneers that are often over-dried or otherwise compromised,” said Brad Bolduc, Arclin’s Senior Vice President for Surfaces and Performance Products. “Our team has worked tirelessly to perfect this resin technology for the benefit of our customers,” he said. “We’re proud that their expertise and commitment have also been acknowledged by the industry.”
Enhanced Bond Technology improves adhesive performance with veneers that can present a number of challenges, including:
• Surface inactivated (case hardened), where the ability of water and PF adhesives to absorb are significantly restricted
• High density hardwoods
• Those with knots and burls that can contribute to wood failure
• Surface contaminated
