Ahh to Be Sugared and Heather Wilks are pleased to announce that they now provide a body sugaring process to residents of the Calgary area. The process is a gentle and natural approach to hair removal which is eco-friendly. The sugaring solution is all natural with the ingredients of water, lemon, and sugar. The solution gently removes hair from the follicle. It avoids and pain and infection risk of in-grown hairs, as well as the painful burning which can happen with waxing. Some clients find that hair does not return after a few treatments.Sugaring is an ancient and gentle method of hair removal. It is known as "Halawa" in Egypt and has been used throughout the ages across the Middle East, Greece and Northern Africa as a sweeter way to get rid of unwanted body hair. Sugaring has been around for centuries. It is an effective alternative to waxing and lasers. Just as the name implies, sugaring is a relaxing and natural method of hair removal.
Heather brings many years of experience in hair removal through sugaring, since launching her own sugaring spa in Calgary. The principal in the salon gained experience in hair removal through sugaring and became convinced that the type of hair removal was superior and less painful than other current treatments such as waxing or shaving. Heather's training occurred at Alexandria Sugaring.
In a recent interview, Heather explained, "My expertise has allowed me to create the right balance of the sugaring paste used in my spa. My belief has always been that clients participating in a Calgary-spa session should have a fun experience. It should be affordable, virtually pain-free and easy to accomplish. We bring this approach to the Calgary and Didsbury spas. In the future, we are looking forward to adding the benefits of microdermabrasion to the aesthetic offerings at the new Didsbury spa."
