Afi.ai, a provider of backup and disaster recovery for cloud applications, today announced the Afi Data Platform 2.8 release of its market-leading data protection cloud solution that helps managed service providers and enterprises orchestrate, replicate and migrate cloud data.

Afi Data Platform 2.8 delivers vastly improved backup and recovery speed for Microsoft (Office) 365 backup and additional advancements in its anti-ransomware engine. Data Platform 2.8 also enables Afi managed service provider partners to use flexible white-labelling and branding options to improve their clients’ experience and provides extensive API and reporting tools.

"Managed service providers and enterprise IT are looking for new tools to replace legacy systems that fail to provide adequate protection for new cloud data sources, such as K8s, Microsoft (Office) 365 and G Suite" said Vincent Marino, CPO at Afi.ai. "Organizations need to be able to backup their cloud data using a modern cloud-ready system that fully supports new applications and overcomes performance limitations that are inevitable in the legacy backup systems. With Data Platform 2.8, we are introducing a significant performance boost and provide access to new tools to our MSP partners.”

The newly released API and reporting capabilities will enable Afi partners and customers to integrate the platform with their existing systems and further automate K8s, Office 365 and G Suite backup. Afi also features pre-built integrations with major remote management and monitoring providers, including Kaseya and Connectwise, as well as cloud access control systems (Okta, Azure Active Directory).
