Kickstarter Project Helps Couples Achieve More Satisfying, Intimate Relationships

Becoming An All-Star Team in the Major League of Marriage shows couples the many similarities between what championship ball teams do and what married couples should do to deal with errors, balks, and pickoffs.

Couples who want to reconnect with their spouses, improve their communication, and learn how to build the foundation for a long-lasting, successful relationship, can take advantage of a new Kickstarter campaign for a new line of self-help relationship products called Marriage Mansion.

The line also includes a relationship-focused Kindle book, "Becoming An All-Star Team in the Major League of Marriage." The book will be available for free on Amazon from July 10-14, in conjunction with MLB All-Star Game, as a special promotion.

Authors Jack and Jane Katenkamp, married for more than 40 years, drew on research done by Fr. Gabriel Calvo of Spain, their own experiences working with more than 2,500 couples, as well as the concept of the 3-step "Couple Dialogue" to write the book. It also draws inspiration from baseball, which they believe requires the same sort of teamwork and communication as an actual marriage.

When asked why this is important Jack said, "Marriage is the bedrock of society. America needs strong marriages and families to remain a great nation."

The book addresses 10 key issues (each one referred to as an "inning") that couples face, providing catalysts for conversation and outlining the best way to begin discussing the issue at hand. The analogy continues throughout the pages with expert advice from Coaches and Managers, as well as "Shouts from the Fans."

"Becoming An All-Star Team" is part of Katenkamp's Marriage Mansion line of self-help products, which is all about helping couples build long-lasting close relationships, all based on a classic program called the Marriage Encounter, as well as the Couple Dialogue.

The Kickstarter project will run from May 26-June 25th, seeking $27,000 in support. Backers receive an assortment of special rewards, from copies of the Marriage Mansion program to MLB merchandise and even a trip to the All-Star Game.

The Katenkamps began the project when they realized that there was a serious need for relationship guidance based on the core idea of self-help: teaching couples how to become team players, so that they can succeed together. Other the years, the Katenkamp have run numerous Marriage Encounter programs for couples at a variety of venues, including at more than 50 prisons.
