Bobbi-Toads, a small family company making unique shoes for girls, recently celebrated its second birthday. Like many of its customers, the company is very young and has a lot of room to grow. Bobbi-Toads began with a remarkably innovative design: kids’ shoes that have “toes” you can paint over and over again. Like clockwork, the company will be debuting its second shoe line in time with its second anniversary. This next addition is Bobbi-Toads Light-Ups by Jacquelynn Rae, named after the brand’s creative director.Their new line of Bobbi-Toads Light-Up Sneakers for kids will still feature the brand’s trademark “toes” embossed in the shoe cap but will not use nail polish. Described with the slogan “all the flash without the splash,” the shoes will cater to those tiny hands and parents who would rather use stickers to decorate the “toes” of the shoes. This new line will also feature two smaller sizes, starting at girls’ size 9. The brand is very excited to offer more toddler sizes and has done so in response to parents’ requests.
Jacquelynn Stanley, Bobbi-Toads’ creative director, expressed how important customer feedback is to the brand, sharing “We wanted to give the customers not only what they asked for, but also even more options to choose from. We have included smaller sizes and new designs created from their suggestions. At the end of the day, it always has been and always will be all about the customer. They are the ones who allow us to fulfill our dream so we are very excited to see how they react to the Light-Ups!”
Although there are tons of light-up shoes available, the unique “toe” design Bobbi-Toads offers, sets their shoes apart from the sea of all too familiar shoe designs. Girls can also use nail stickers to create many unique looks that reflect their individual style.
