The World’s Best Brass Hose Nozzle announced today they have successfully launched their new product, a lead-free brass hose nozzle. The new lead-free hose nozzles being offered now by the World’s Best Brass Hose Nozzles are made from a class of brass which contains less than .09% lead, and therefore is far below the regulatory requirements for safe use with drinking water. The amount of lead content in these new nozzles is significantly lower than standard brass, which can have as much as 29 times or more lead in them than this new lead-free design.
Normal brass contains small percentages of lead, because it acts as a lubricant during the machining and manufacturing process. California regulations recently went into effect, requiring most brass products coming into contact with drinking water to have a lead content of .25% or less to qualify as being “lead-free.”
“Our focus is to offer customers quality products that they can feel safe to use, even to water plants in their edible gardens,” company founder Joshua Jantz stated. “But we didn’t want to just simply offer a lead-free brass nozzle. It also had to be a solid, heavy-duty design, and built like a tank to last for a lifetime.”
The company announced that other improvements to the new hose nozzle include re-positioning of the knurls to make for a better grip, more holes in the tip of the nozzle to allow for maximum water throughput, and a sleeker, more modern design.
Customers who have purchased the new nozzles are already supplying positive feedback on Amazon.com, where the nozzles are primarily sold.
Marie Anne claims she hasn’t seen a nozzle this good in decades, since she was a kid. “I’ve used many of the plastic ones over the years, and even the more expensive ones break within a reasonable time. There’s nothing more frustrating than grabbing the hose to water the garden or wash the car and the nozzle breaks in your hand. Washers might give out before that, but you get extras of those too. I set out to find a nozzle that is indestructible. This nozzle fit the bill. Any time he is in the yard and I watch him drop the hose, I just smile.”
Jantz claims the nozzles, which are manufactured in China exclusively for The World’s Best Brass Hose Nozzles, are hard to find elsewhere. “I just haven’t seen them pop up yet on other marketplaces,” he said. “But there is definitely a concern amongst our customers about the lead content in brass nozzles, and we hope that this new product will begin to serve and supply the demand for better/safer watering tools.”
