The ad will be released to highlight NoMo Brands along with other selected businesses in a special segment of the broadcast. NoMo Brands’ aromatherapy oil-infused wristband is used to treat upset stomach in pregnant women, cancer patients, avid boat travelers, cruise fanatics, football players as well as non-athletes to exercise better without nausea.

Super Bowl LV will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa where the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, marking the first time that a team has played in a Super Bowl in its own stadium.

Another Tampa connection to the event is NoMo Brands, the Tampa small business that received initial support at the University of Tampa. The company was founded by Tampa native Dr. Jacqueline Darna, medical inventor and naturopathic physician and anesthesia clinician.

After experiencing illness postpartum, Dr. Darna developed NoMo Nausea, a drug-free alternative treatment.

The NoMo Nausea wristband, which incorporates a patented designed pressure ball, is worn on an acupuncture pressure point, and is infused with essential oils that suppress nausea. The wristband is clinically proven to relieve upset stomach using a combination of gentle pressure and the scent of peppermint.

The waterproof and latex-free elastic bands are used across the nation and abroad in hospitals and clinics, doctors’ offices and surgery suites in 12 countries of the world. Other uses include seasickness and carsickness prevention, reduction of illness from chemo or drug therapy, and surgical prevention of anesthesia side effects now available in 30,000 retailers like CVS, Bed Bath & Beyond, BuyBuy Baby, Supervalu, and Walmart.

The Super Bowl LV ad is a fitting place to tell Dr. Darna’s story of the product and its use among athletes. Football players in particular are known to push themselves during exercise to the point of upset stomach. NoMo Nausea is used by team trainers and doctors to help athletes maximize performance.

The product and inventor have received considerable network television and press attention prior to the Super Bowl. Awards and recognition include Surgical Product of the Year Nominee, Forbes, Eco Family Friendly Product by KIWI magazine, and many others. The company was Florida’s SBDC Women Owned Business of the Year, WBENC, NAWBO, USHCC Small Business of the Year Pitch Competition Winner, and was awarded Shark Tank Kevin Harrington’s The Big Pitch Awardee.

“I can proudly say that NoMo Nausea can help 80 percent of people stop having nausea or vomiting in seconds,” Dr. Darna said.
