The dealership will be contributing $5 to the American Cancer Society for every #IDriveFor campaign started on Twitter and Instagram in the fight to end breast cancer, WinChevrolet.com reports
Win Chevrolet proudly announces they are partnering with the American Cancer Society to make strides against breast cancer. This is the seventh year the dealership has partnered with the society and they have contributed almost $8 million to this cause to help with screening, patient care and research. One in eight women are diagnosed with this type of cancer, thus more needs to be done. The dealership is committed to doing everything possible to overcome this disease.—
"Individuals can join in the effort by taking part in a walk, contributing to the campaign or establishing an #IDriveFor team. For every team that is established on Twitter and Instagram, the dealership contributes $5 to the American Cancer Society. With your help, we believe we can help put an end to breast cancer one day," Frank Hazem, spokesperson for Win Chevrolet, states.
Women need to be proactive to detect this cancer at an early stage. Every woman should be doing self-exams and seeing their doctor for regular checkups. Now is the time to schedule a screening and learn more about what to watch for with regard to this type of cancer. Early detection significantly increases the odds of survival, thus knowledge is very powerful.
"Tests, such as mammograms, can find breast cancer years before any symptoms develop. Yearly visits to the doctor should begin at an early age, with yearly mammograms starting at 45 for women at average risk of breast cancer. Those who have been identified as high risk, such as those with the BRCA gene, will need to begin yearly mammograms earlier. A doctor is the best person to determine when a woman should be screened and how often," Hazem continues.
Win Chevrolet works to help the community in every way they can. From new and used cars to a parts and service department, individuals in and around the Carson area know they can turn to the dealership for assistance with their vehicle or with a community project they are hosting. In addition, the dealership offers specials on a variety of vehicles to help customers save more while obtaining a car they love.
"Visit the website today to see the Dealer Specials on cars and be sure to check out the Win Chevrolet Service Specials. We are here to help in any way we can, whether it is with your personal vehicle or a community project. All one needs to do is ask," Hazem states.
