Wholesale Silver Jewelry Manufacturer’s Prepare For Important Asian Jewelry Shows

Share this news:

Thousands of the world’s leading gems traders and silver jewelry manufacturers are preparing to attend two of Southeast Asia’s most important trade shows.

Bangkok, Thailand - January 18, 2016

The first of the two important jewelry shows that are taking place in Southeast Asia is to be held in Bangkok between the 24th and 28th of February 2016. The Gem and Jewelry Fair will be held at the, 80,000 square meter, IMPACT Meung Thong Thani venue.

For the 32nd consecutive year, around 1,800 vendors, from all sectors of the jewelry industry, will attend the exhibition, where they will be displaying their wares across 3,000 booths.

Once again, silver jewelry manufacturers will have a strong presence at the show. Globally, demand for this type of jewelry is growing at an alarming rate.

Especially for sterling silver jewelry that is made from ethically sourced materials, and manufactured in workshops that have a reputation for taking care of their staff. Exhibitors such as ELF925 that focuses on ethically sourced raw materials and provides sound employment conditions, are set to have some of the busiest stands at the show this year.

Preparations for the other important jewelry shows in the region are also underway. This year the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will take place from 3-7 March 2016. Once again, it will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre with a sister show also taking place at the AsiaWorld-Expo from 1st to 5th March 2016.

Across the two shows there will be 4,400 firms exhibiting, making this the biggest international marketplace for all kinds of jewelry, including silver jewelry.

This year exhibitors from 140 countries will take stands at the event, making it the most diverse jewelry exhibition ever held in Hong Kong. Exhibitors are drawn from all areas of the industry. As usual, this will be a melting pot for suppliers and wholesalers to source materials, and to seek out manufacturers to produce their designs.

Over the past few years, the jewelry market has changed greatly, as the price of materials and labor has risen globally. However, despite this, designers and wholesalers are increasingly not giving into the temptation to use cheaper suppliers who do not have strong ethics.

Modern consumers will no longer knowingly buy jewelry, and other items, that they know have not been produced ethically. Firms like ELF95, one of Thailand’s leading silver jewelry manufacturers, will be exhibiting at the Hong Kong show as well. They expect to be busier than usual as wholesalers increasingly seek out firms, like theirs, that have strong ethical sourcing policies.

The firms E-Commerce Manager, Alain Janovjak, told us more about the company’s approach to sourcing their raw materials and staffing:

“At ELF925 we feel its corporate responsibility to provide quality without compromise; we only source our raw materials from conflict free zones, and all our products conform to international safety standards. Our people are the lifeblood of the business, so we work hard to keep everyone safe, happy and well paid. For us ethical business practices are second nature, and we have found that they help us to consistently produce the best silver jewelry on the market.”
