Website Not Secure: How to Easily Eliminate Website Warning of Risk, Insecure

Google is implementing a change in July 2018 that will have widespread effects by automatically and conspicuously marking numerous Websites as “Not Secure”. Nonprofits, government agencies, educational institutions and businesses of all types are being impacted. Action can be taken to not lose Website traffic.

Has your Website been marked as NOT SECURE? To where those words pop up when visits are made to your Website? If this hasn’t happened already it may occur very soon.

Come July 2018, Google is implementing a far-reaching Internet security policy that will affect the Websites of nonprofits, government agencies, educational institutions and businesses worldwide.

Warning labels will automatically appear declaring Websites as insecure and at risk.

Limited warnings have already begun whereby a symbol appears to the left of the Website address in the search engine bar at the top of the page. Clicking the symbol reveals a message that the site does or may have security issues. For instance: “Your connection to this site is not secure”. In other cases, a stronger warning appears in this location or on the center of the page.

Sites that are actually safe at this time are being affected – including those that do not collect personal data such as credit card numbers, banking information, email addresses, etc.

The purpose of the change is to tackle the serious and growing problem of hacking and other insecurities of the online world. While well intended and needed, the transition process for this change has a significant downside.

A notable downside is that intended visitors to the Websites of nonprofit organizations, public agencies and a host of others will be scared into leaving the sites as soon as they see the warnings – warnings that are about to become much more conspicuous. This hurts the host organizations as well as those seeking information.

The Future Is Now Foundation is offering a solution to those who want fast action to correct the problem and without having to do a lot of research, spend a lot of money or otherwise experience greater stress and loss of more Web traffic. Having been trainers in varied professional development disciplines for many years, Foundation officials understand that different people process, comprehend and respond to technical information in different ways. Many fear, are confused by or otherwise experience discomfort in having to deal with computer and Internet technology issues. This accounts for many having missed Google’s notices of this change – or learned of the coming change but not acted.

These days, people also tend to want fast action while also valuing personalized attention when it comes to technology matters. Live personal attention rather than having to go back and forth using an online chat box to communicate on confusing topics with a remote representative – or emailing an organization and having to wait at length for a response that may or may not answer the questions.

The Foundation mastered early on the ability to provide personalized coaching and technical support services by way of easy to use, real-time online meetings (or telephone where preferred) as well as through in-person events.

Beginning July 1, 2018, appointments may be booked through their Website to address the issue of sites being labeled as Not Secure. The same appointments may be used to address other Website and online marketing questions. Appointments may be booked here: https://futureisnowfoundation.com/offer

The Foundation has been a leader in online events and other Internet technologies since 2005. The organization has provided capacity building support to nonprofits and public agencies since it was established in 2002.
