Holidaymakers looking for dog-friendly cottages in Cumbria can now see a comprehensive list of potential places to stay in and around the Lake District, following the launch of a new Cumbria page on the Dog Friendly Retreats website.
Dog Friendly Retreats recently launched the new Cumbria section and already has a large collection of 1,270 pet-friendly cottages, houses and apartments to choose from in this stunning county.
The new Cumbria section showcases an extensive range of properties throughout the county, including the main holiday hotspots in the Lake District.
There are holiday properties of all types, sizes and budgets with one big thing in common – they all allow dogs to stay with their owners.
Many towns and villages throughout Cumbria and the Lake District are featured in the new service, including popular tourist destinations such as Ambleside, Windermere, Keswick and Kendal.
With the Lake District National Park at its heart, the county Cumbria in the north west of England is an incredibly popular holiday destination for visitors interested in walking and the great outdoors.
Tourism highlights for the Cumbria include cruises on Lake Windermere, walking the peaks and fells of the national park, and popular visitor attractions such as the World of Beatrix Potter, William Wordsworth’s Rydal Mount and Hadrian’s Wall.
The Lake District is particularly attractive to dog owners as there is a huge array of places to visit for stunning dog walks. These visitors will naturally search for dog friendly cottages and holiday homes when looking for self-catering accommodation in Cumbria.

The website only lists holiday homes that have been verified as dog friendly by independent owners and well-established letting agents.
