In June 2018 Wall Nanny was invited to Walmart's Open Call Event in Bentonville, Arkansas. The event is part of Walmart's commitment to supporting American manufacturing and American jobs. This event hosts over 500 different business's each year with products that are Made in the USA. These business's will pitch their product to Walmart buyers with hopes to strike a deal with the countries largest retailer.Among the products to be accepted was the Wall Nanny Mini. It is a wall protector for pressure mounted safety gates that solves the common problems of wall damage and instability of baby gates. The Wall Nanny Mini is part of the Wall Nanny® brand which is owned by TMW Family Company, LLC. The founders of this company are Tate Hancock and Megan Hancock of Wichita, KS.
The Wall Nanny Mini was asked to present to two different Walmart departments, both of whom gave Wall Nanny a "Golden Ticket." The "Golden Ticket" is only given to companies that Walmart wants to pursue a partnership with. Of the 500 companies that presented, only 100 tickets were given out. Wall Nanny will now start the process of getting their products ready for Walmart's shelves. TMW Family Company expects that the product will be available on Walmart's shelves sometime 2019.
