Harbour Holidays has this week launched a campaign encouraging potential visitors to ‘go large’ when booking holiday cottages and accommodation in Padstow, Cornwall.
The Padstow-based company wants to highlight the fact that spacious holiday homes are often available at little more additional cost than similar, smaller properties.
Business owner Nicky Stanley explained: “People naturally look for the perfect fit when booking a holiday cottage. A family of four will most likely search for properties which sleep four people. But sometimes more spacious properties are available for not a lot more money.
“So we’re inviting people to consider the larger properties when researching their holiday accommodation, so they can enjoy more space and comfort without too much additional cost.”
Harbour Holidays is a Padstow focused holiday letting agency, which represents over 170 homes owned by private local owners.
The company has found that demand for larger properties drops off outside the main summer months.
The majority of holidaymakers visiting Cornwall in the winter and early spring are couples and families with preschool children who naturally choose smaller houses that sleep two, three or four people.
But if these visitors are encouraged to ‘go large’ they could enjoy much more space and comfort without too much additional cost.
Nicky Stanley added: “All our homes are lovely and we certainly wouldn’t want to put people off staying in some of the cosy cottages and small houses we have available. But we also want people to know that larger properties are available and they are welcome to rent them even if they don’t fill all the beds.”
Some of the larger accommodation options in Harbour Holidays’ portfolio include spectacular beachside houses, spacious countryside cottages and grand period properties with panoramic views.
