VAS to host inaugural students in Sedona for first hands-on semester.

Veteran Adjusting School is the first licensed post-secondary vocational school for Catastrophic Insurance Adjusting in Arizona, and announced today the premier of their 17-day hands-on training portion of their comprehensive curriculum.

“I am thrilled to have our first onsite training program here in Sedona. We know the industry needs well trained adjusters, and we are here to give them what they want; training and supporting our students from start to first-storm deployment,” said founding Director and chief instructor Guy Grand.

During the intensive 17-day on-site training students will have the opportunity to actively participate in a mock storm deployment, obtaining vital experiential learning needed before their first real storm deployment. Students will be exposed to top-notch customer service, comprehensive damage assessment and identification, extensive estimate preparation and writing – all under the careful guidance of some of the best and toughest catastrophe adjusters and industry experts.

“VAS students don’t just get comprehensive textbook learning – they get in the field, get their hands dirty and have a chance to learn from seasoned instructors the subject-matter professionals in the insurance claims industry demand from their adjusters,” said Grand.“VAS graduates won’t be clueless when they hit a real storm – you perform as well as you train, and we give our students every possible advantage to succeed in this high-demand industry.”

Veteran Adjusting School (VAS) was created to help returning veterans find gainful employment in the insurance adjusting profession, and currently equips both service veterans and civilians with the skills necessary to excel as adjusters.

VAS has partnered with some of the nation’s leading independent adjusting firms who recognize the comprehensive training VAS graduates receive; each agreeing to waive the industry standard 2 to 4 year work experience requirement for VAS trained adjusters. Students from all over the U.S. will descend on Sedona in mid-May, and be ready for their first storm deployment in June.
