November 29, 2018, Salt Lake City, Utah — The Utah Technology Council encourages financial executives to join them for an hour of CPE Credit at Tanner LLC’s Offices in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. Tanner LLC will be presenting a forum on the top 10 issues facing financial executives during the year-end as part of the council’s CFO Alliance.
The Utah Technology Council’s quarterly forum is being presented this Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 8-9:30 am, at premier local firm Tanner LLC.
Event organizers feel this will be a chance to build the CFO Alliance among those in the Salt Lake area. Organizers said, “the more ideas we have, the more vibrant our community.”
Presenters from Tanner LLC will be focusing on tax planning opportunities, ASC 606, and IT security threats that concern CFOs at high tech companies.
The forum will be an opportunity for financial executives to learn more about troublesome topics— such as the new revenue recognition standard ASC 606.
ASC 606 will soon become standard for many businesses. The switch will simplify the revenue recognition process across many industries. Since the switch began, the new revenue recognition standard has created a ripple effect within IT systems and HR Policies.
Forum co-chair, Chris Badger, a NOW CFO partner, says the event will help CFOs understand the new standards, as well as give more general guidance on what they “should be looking out for at the year’s end.”
