Urgent Care + TeleHealth is pleased to announce the opening of a new urgent care clinic in Napa, CA. The clinic accepts most insurance plans, cares for people of all ages, provides employer health services, urgent care and basic wellness services in person and remotely.

Founded by an emergency medicine physician with over 30 years’ experience, the new clinic will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for fall and winter ailments such as colds, flu and upper respiratory infections – as well as for more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains.

The clinic is currently offering flu vaccines and rapid COVID-19 tests which provide a result in 20 minutes.

In order to offer health care in a safe and effective manner – especially during the COVID-19 outbreak – Urgent Care + TeleHealth offers a virtual care option to help patients get answers to their medical needs without having to leave their home.

“We started this clinic to provide an alternative healthcare delivery model for Napa that is quicker, faster and cheaper than an emergency room. In fact, 2/3 of the patients that are seen in an emergency room can be seen, treated, and evaluated at
Urgent Care.”

- Ian Ahwah, MD, Emergency Medicine Physician

The clinic’s virtual care system allows providers to conduct clinical assessments from a remote workstation and can also be used to support safe visitations from other medical professionals and specialists.

Dr. Ahwah has found telehealth to be particularly beneficial for families with small children and for seniors. According to Dr. Ahwah, “TeleHealth is a great alternative for parents who can’t take time off work or would have to arrange for childcare. TeleHealth is also popular for seniors or others with mobility issues.”

Napa area employers can use Urgent Care + TeleHealth for employer health services that include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services include sports physicals, DOT physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help Benicia residents maintain good health. The clinic accepts most workers compensation insurance plans.

The Napa clinic has multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The clinic is opening initially with limited hours, but will soon expand to be open every day including weekends and after-hours.

Urgent Care + TeleHealth accepts many insurance plans and offers affordable pricing for people without insurance. The center will be staffed by a full medical team that includes medical providers, radiologic technologists, physician assistants, nurses and customer service representatives.
