Ashraf represented the only defendant to be acquitted of all the charges, with the remaining defendants receiving more than 120 years imprisonment.


Also in November 2017, 2 Bedford Row chambers announced that it had been nominated as UK Chambers of the Year in Crime for 2018. Jim Sturman QC and Richard Whittam QC were both nominated as UK Silk of the Year, while Dean George was nominated as UK Junior of the Year.
