The NYC and Westchester based Fencing club founded by Olympic Silver Medalist Tim Morehouse Wins 54 Super Youth Circuit Medals Including 10 Gold Medals.

Tim Morehouse Fencing Club, the NYC and Westchester fencing clubs taught by Olympians, ranked first in gold medals and overall medals won on the Super Youth Circuit (SYC) for Saber fencing during the 2018-2019 season. The club which opened only three years ago has climbed the national rankings in a record pace beating out perennial powerhouses across the country.

The SYC tournaments run with USA Fencing earn competitors national points and are a qualifying path to the US Summer National Championships. The club has qualified over 60 saber fencers to this year’s nationals that will be held in Columbus, Ohio June 28 to July 7.

“One of the first goals we set when we opened Tim Morehouse Fencing Club was to become the top Competitive Youth Development club in the country”, said Tim Morehouse, founder of the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club. “After opening just three years ago, I couldn’t be more thrilled and grateful for the hard work of our staff, coaches, students, and families. We are charting our own path combining the best-practices of modern teaching methodologies, with the human-centered design of our programs, with data-driven measurement. At the end of the day, the measure of success is always results.”

Tim Morehouse and his coaches have always been dedicated to being the best fencing club in NY and Westchester, and also the entire country. The club credits their competitive elite development system which includes private lessons, group classes, and camps to build a proper foundation of technique and strategies from the first day a student begins fencing at their club.

In the club’s short history, it already has some of its graduating members attending Yale, Columbia, Notre Dame, Brandeis, and other top schools.

Having the strongest Youth program is just one step in the clubs development. Morehouse added, “Our aim is to prepare our students to be ready to compete for the top Universities in the Country and to make national and Olympic teams.”

Because of their strong results, Tim Morehouse Fencing Club has some of the top-ranked fencers across all the Youth age categories. 3 of their fencers in the Youth-10 girls category ranked top-10 in the country, including Audrey Young at #1, Catelyn So ranked at #2, and Charlotte Young at #8. In the Youth-10 boys category, 4 of their fencers ranked in the top 16 boys in the country. They are as follows: Myles Duckett ranked #3, Gabriel Clark ranked #10, Emilio Gonzalez at #11, and Enzo Bera at #13.

During the season, Aria Bevacqua, Adele Bois, Lex Denner, Madison Four-Garcia, Enzo Bera, Catelyn So, Audrey Young and Myles Duckett all captured gold medals across the Youth-10, Youth-12, and Youth-14 categories respectively. Shaun Kim was one of the top-ranked 11-year-olds in the Youth-12 category.

About Tim Morehouse Fencing Club:
Tim Morehouse Fencing Club (TMFC) was founded in December 2015 with the mission to create the best youth sports program in the country as measured by competitive results, academic success and the teaching of "champions value" to its students. By offering smaller class sizes, there is more one-on-one interaction and more growth opportunities for aspiring champions. The club offers three styles of fencing: saber, foil, and epee. It has three locations - one in Manhattan (founded 2016), one in Westchester (founded 2017), and one in Larchmont.
