Everyone is looking forward to 2021 and the beginning of a new year, and that is certainly the case for golfers hoping to take a spring trip to Myrtle Beach to play award-winning courses like Tidewater Golf Club.

The COVID-19 pandemic, understandably, eliminated the spring golf travel season this year but with some semblance of normalcy returning to parts of the nation, golfers hoping to take a trip in 2021 are finding reason for optimism. When golfers are comfortable traveling, Tidewater, one of the nation’s premier layouts, will be there to anchor countless Myrtle Beach golf trips.

Home to nine holes that play along either the Intracoastal Waterway or Cherry Grove Inlet, Tidewater has combined rare beauty and an unforgettable design to provide golfers a bucket list experience for 30 years. The course was reinvigorated by a 2014 renovation project that included, among other enhancements, a greens renovation project and infrastructure and drainage improvements that continue to pay dividends.

Tidewater has been one of Myrtle Beach’s best conditioned courses over the last six years, drawing rave reviews from locals and traveling golfers alike.

“There isn’t anything about this course a golf enthusiast won’t love, from the staff to the layout to the greens and the 19th hole,” Illinois resident Dan L said in a 5-star Tripadvisor review in September. “This is the one course I’ve included in every trip to Myrtle I’ve been on which is now pushing thirty years.”

Dan’s sparkling evaluation is hardly an anomaly as Tidewater averages 4.6 stars in more than 1,200 online evaluations.

At the heart of Tidewater’s popularity are the offerings along Cherry Grove, including holes 3 and 12, a pair of par 3s located adjacent to each other. Both play along Cherry Grove and they might be the prettiest pair of par 3s in all of South Carolina.

Of course, the par 4 fourth hole, a dogleg left that plays along the water, is no less stunning, and the 13th green offers a distant view of the Atlantic Ocean.
