Three Peaks Challenge, organised by Go Climb Mountains, UK mountain walking tour specialists, is back for 2018!
Because of an increased interest for the Three Peaks Challenge for 2018, Go Climb Mountains decided to open an online interest registration form much earlier than the previous year. This approach will provide participants with more time to complete their training and preparations for the trip. Please note this registration is purely for interest purposes and no commitment is required at this stage.
The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales. These peaks are Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, normally climbed in that order. The travel is organised to the hotel on day one, where a briefing by the Guide will take place that evening. The event will then commence the following morning and will finish mid afternoon on the final day. The whole event is guided by fully qualified mountain leaders.
To take part in this event, a reasonable level of fitness is needed. This is an arduous challenge and although no previous mountaineering experience is required, climbing three high mountains will include very little rest in between. A fitness plan is recommended in preparation for the challenge. Please seek professional advice before starting any fitness regime.
Go Climb Mountains are proud to offer a complete and professional transport and accommodation service for the Three Peaks Challenge with quality of the vehicles provided being very important in order to satisfy customer needs. The vehicles are 16 seater minibuses with trailers.
Director Gary Taylor says: “In order to accommodate numerous requests from past-year customers, the Three Peaks Challenge 2018 will be offered over 24 hours and also over three days. At this stage it has been decided to open registration form on the website where customers will be able to register interest for 2018 and subsequently receive the new Thee Peaks Challenge brochure with all travel arrangements, collection and drop-off points so customers will have clear idea how this incredibly exciting trip is put together.”
