The Gardener’s Friends, a brand of The Valspring Group was developed by veteran gardener and nurseryman, Paul Grimm in 2013. Mr. Grimm’s personal struggles with pain and difficulty using gardening tools provided gestation to the idea which became TGF Gardening Tools. “There are thousands of gardeners who are experiencing the same difficulties, or who have even given up gardening because of the pain of arthritis and other mobility issues.” He said. This experience provided the motivation to develop a business that could provide ergonomically designed gardening tools to help thousands of people.

Says Grimm, “Gardening to some is like a canvas to an artist; a means of self-expression, relaxation and an element of a good quality of life and The Gardener’s Friends tools enables people to continue gardening and yard work. It enhance their lifetime passion so that they can continue to experience the joy in a wonderful garden.”

The company has cast a broad net in its search for just the right person to fill this position. “It will require a good grounding in generating effective content and also include a strong marketing focus to help mold the future marketing program and strategies of the company”. Said Mr. Grimm.

Mr. Grimm added. “A new Content Editor will contribute to the expansion of awareness by providing information through social media, blogs and new and exciting programs. Additionally, plans are to provide to tips and strategies, enable communication and build relationships with customers/readers.”

Valspring has recognized that Baby Boomers are the largest demographic in society today. This demographic population is beginning to feel the extra effort required to perform simple tasks. What’s more, they are faced with caring for aged parents. The Gardener’s Friends tools can be used by both generations. This provides an inter-generational bridge that working together in the garden can provide and enable it to happen with greater ease and comfort for the less mobile segment of the population.
