The Best of the Beach Invitational Golf Tournament was a charitable event held for Paws for Veterans at Patrick Air Force Base, located in Satellite Beach, Florida.

On May 5, 2018, the second annual Best of the Beach Invitational Golf Tournament was held in Satellite Beach, Florida, which raised money for the local charitable group Paws for Veterans. Approximately 20 different teams competed, and along with a sponsorship from Glenn Sandler, was able to raise just shy of $4,000 for this group.

Nearly 100 people attended the golf tournament outside of the competing teams, and all were given the opportunity to enjoy the dinner and award ceremony that followed. One of the key sponsors was Glenn Sandler, Melbourne, Florida. He donated a full basket of GI Tax logo products that connect to his business for veterans. The items were able to be raffled off following the dinner, increasing the overall donation for Paws for Veterans. The basket of items was in addition to the Platinum level sponsorship dollars. Glenn also sponsored a 2nd team to play as well.

Mr. Glenn Sandler began as a CPA back in 1982, and has become a business leader within the community in the years since. After some ups and downs in the business world, he created GI Tax to help veterans within his local community. This business helps servicemen and servicewomen once they leave the military own their own franchise, allowing them an opportunity to become an entrepreneur. Due to this military connection, he wanted to do whatever he could to help Paws for Veterans.

“Paws for Veterans has been devoting its energy to providing our Nations Heroes with the medical help they need using service dogs, while simultaneously saving the lives of dogs that would otherwise be facing euthanasia.” – Paws for Veterans

About Paws for Veterans: Paws for Veterans is a charity that provides service dogs to veterans struggling with either PTSD or TBI. These dogs are often obtained from shelters, saving the dog's life, plus they are trained to help the veteran with several daily tasks. Since suicide rates for veterans are so high, these dogs often save the veterans life, much in the same way their own lives were saved.
