The Kurds have withstood attempted genocide as well as attacks intended to eliminate their culture and language.Barzani was a man willing to give the Kurdish nation, with all its diverse religions and different ethnic groups, the hope of security and the wish of independence as a reward for the souls of martyrs.
When President Barzani insisted on the rights of Kurdish nation, the rights of human liberation, and the rights of freedom on June 7, 2017, the vote was set for September 25, 2017.
Before that date, many countries had rejected the desires of a nation that had been suffering pain for over a century. Thirsty for freedom, the Kurds had been rejected by almost every country that claims to be a defender of independence and human rights.
President Barzani has raised his voice, saying, We will practice our basic rights every human has a right to choose how they would want to live. "I am not ready to disappoint myself front of my God, I am not ready to disappoint myself front of my people", he said, speaking to an audience of nearly a million people.
But why has the United Nations, and all the countries with in it, apart from a very few, rejected the expressed desires of the people of a loyal ally, the Kurds?
Barzani has become a man of the 21st century who raised his voice, speaking up for concepts like human rights and liberty. He has shown how democracy can be practiced by a third-world society and no one can take our liberty from us.
Masoud Barzani is now a great leader who stands for peace, democracy and human desire for freedom.
Bring back the hope for those hopeless families who sacrificed men for the worthy causes of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as well as peace for our human family.
