The Junior League of Duluth is hosting its annual Festival of Trees on November 22nd and 23rd at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. Over 170 arts and crafters will be represented amidst the numerous and beautiful hand decorated trees adorning the Convention Center. Included in the vendors for this year’s event is the unique wine charms and accessory company, Woodsy Wino, offering custom charms for the holiday season.“With so many holiday dinners, parties and events coming up,” commented Woodsy Wino creator, Jenn Finnell, “Wine glass charms are not only an ideal way to mark your wine glasses during a busy party, but they are a wonderful keepsake for your guests, too!”
With hundreds of styles, Woodsy Wino offers a huge inventory of hand crafted wine glass charms, from simple beaded markers to ornate bobbles such as their top seller, the Dragonfire Crystal Charms in a variety of colors.
“I think the Dragonfire Crystal Charms are popular partly due to their beauty,” Finnell added with a grin, “But the story behind them offers a different kind of charm to the Dragonfire crystals.”
According to the “Legend of Woodsy Wino,” the online fantasy chapter story about the evasive Woodsy Wino, the dragonfire crystals were created when a dragon living in the Chardonnay Woods sneezed, burning some nearby stones to accidentally create the crystals.
“Not everyone knows that a dragon sneezes fire!” Finnell laughed aloud, “To find us in the Festival, look for the dragon's eye. He's watching over the charms!”
Not only charms created by the breath of a dragon are offered by Woodsy Wino. The custom shoppe is available at the Festival of Trees for delivery by Christmas. Simply visit the booth and speak with the Woodsy Wino representative to create custom wine glass charm orders.
“We are able to make nearly any kind of wine glass charm,” offered Finnell. “Weddings, holidays, family events...we can customize to fit any occasion...even a Super Bowl party or any game! Our charms are among the few on the market that work with beer mugs and glasses, also!”
For those Festival of Trees attendees with an enthusiasm for wine, information on membership to Wine Club World, an online wine club featuring difficult to obtain wines from across the country, is also available at the Woodsy Wino booth during the festival.
The Festival of Trees is open to the public on Saturday, November 22nd from 9 am to 5 pm for a $6 admission and on Sunday, November 23rd from 10 am to 3 pm for only a $4 admission. Attendees can receive $1 off the price of admission with a non-perishable food donation to the 2nd Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. In addition to the many arts and crafts booths, the Junior League of Duluth Toffee will be available and Santa Claus and his sleigh will be in attendance on Saturday for photo opportunities.
