The Global Autism Project is an International NonProfit organization that partners with local centers around the world to provide services for children with autism. All of the centers that are selected as partners go through a rigorous application process including a site visit in-country. This year, a Discovery Fellow will be part of the application process and those visits.

The 2018 class of International Partnership Discovery Fellows are:

– Noor Syed
– Amy Pulliam
– Kathryn Peterson
– Carolyn Mueller
– Allison Bickelman
– Calandra Plattner

The Fellows were chosen out of a group of fifteen candidates to represent the Global Autism Project in the selection of their 2018 partnerships.

These Inaugural group fellows will play an integral role in reviewing applications submitted by centers all over the world seeking a partnership with the Global Autism Project. The 2018 Fellows will all be members of the Global Autism Project’s International Partnership Review Committee. This is an essential role that helps to ensure that high-quality partnerships are formed around the globe. To best evaluate the viability of potential partnerships, the review committee is well rounded, understands the global community and its needs, and is committed to objective and thorough review of potential partner applications.

As a member of the International Partnership Review Committee, the Discovery Fellows will:

– Review Prospective Partner applications for consideration.

– Review and determine partnership commitment fees based on co-funding amount applied, the applicant’s country of origin and the applicants training and support needs.

– Participate in a video conference call with other committee members and potential partner sites during the review.

– Give unbiased and informed recommendation for forming new partnerships and co-funding amounts.

– Travel to potential partner sites participating in a face-to-face discovery of the center and staff.

– Announce new partnerships and co-funding amounts on a bi-annual basis.
