The world today, in 2017, is such a beautiful and exciting time to live in and experience.
Everyday, there are miracles in science, space exploration, technology, even medical breakthroughs, yet we are still a society that overlooks the everyday difficult challenges that wheel chair disabled kids face as they grow up and look for self esteem and independence.
Meet David —>
David was born with a crippling condition called spina bifida which left him confined to a wheel chair since the day he was born. When you meet him, just his smile and always happy spirit can light up the room. David has a different view on living life bound to a wheel chair. He feels that he can do just as much as others and then some and he wants to show the world by creating a professionally directed, recorded and produced music video composed of clips of kids, teenagers, and young adults around the world in their wheel chairs having fun and showing off the cool things THEY CAN DO. In the video above you can get an idea of the vision, but we need help to get this project off the ground, and that’s why we’re asking for your support.
We want to make this the first project of many in which we empower and support children, teens and adults alike, in wheel chairs, to be as independent and productive as possible. We believe that education and support – as well as interaction with others in the same position – provide the opportunity to network and share ideas, and help create empowerment, awareness and positive changes.
The “My Legs Don’t Work But I Can Still Dance” Dream Music Video Project is going to be so much fun and we hope you can find it in your hearts to contribute even if its a phone call with a few positive words.
The goal is to start a movement. We want to be able to provide support, education, creative outlets and independence skills for wheel chair bound youth.
Creative outlets and independence skills classes for wheel chair bound youth so that they can grow and develop into positive, productive, and independent contributors to society.
No one should be held back or “left behind” because of their physical affliction. Your contributions are going to be used solely and directly for the “My Leg’s Don’t Work But I Can Still Dance”- Dream Music Video Project. Any contributions that are left after the video will solely be used for starting the “I Can Still Dance” Foundation for David.
