Family members of those diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease are often at a loss of what to do in order to ensure that the best care is provided for their loved ones, while still providing an at-home environment that allows a meaningful, quality of life.Beth Anne Varney, Care Coordinator and Dementia Specialist for Friends of the Family Home Health Care, believes the best form of care begins with acknowledging the individuality of each patient. The organization is able to conduct Dementia Testing, including Reality Comprehension Clock Test (RCCT), a standardized, cognitive assessment. The results of which can then be given to the patient’s doctor to use as a tool in diagnosis as well as developing an optimum treatment strategy specific to the patient.
