The 5th Annual Blockchain Conference was held in Prague on March 22, 2019.

The organisers brought together more than 500 experts from blockchain projects from 24 countries: IT developers, entrepreneurs, investors, software and hardware manufacturers.

The list of speakers is impressive, with names well known in the cryptocurrency world.

The event's topic was the development of projects using blockchain and cryptocurrencies and DeFi's prospects. They talked about the use of technology in the public sector, the banking system, trading, and the media.

In the end, the audience singled out several memorable performances.

Sean Paterson (Euro Digital Partners and SEMrush) detailed the decentralised application market, including statistics on all crucial parameters (users, volume, transactions, etc.).

Alex Bozhinov (Crowdholding) revealed the legal issues to consider when implementing a blockchain project. Here, of course, many have questions about their local jurisdictions. A topic that will be more than relevant in the coming years.

Valeria Fedyakina (mining and crypto consulting companies) spoke about the legal aspects of blockchain and cryptocurrency use in Russia. She shared her and her client companies' experience in creating blockchain platforms in the business.
Her presentation was very vivid and inspiring.

Among other things, Valeria talked about a successful ICO case in the Asian market. She shared her experience interacting with Chinese and Indian investors, which was particularly useful for conference participants.

Arthur Kuczmowski (Thompson & Stein) gave a
Valeria Fedyakina Bitmama presentation on the legal regulation of ICOs and cryptocurrencies. There are more and more questions from regulators, and companies have to find the best solutions based on the precedents being set.

There was also much discussion at the conference about the implementation of blockchain in various business sectors, including logistics, the food industry, medicine and, of course, the financial industry.

Aspects relating to security in various areas, including hardware solutions, corporate blockchains, have attracted attention.

Here, the speaker from Russia also reported on the application of blockchain in major companies. Valeria offered her vision of the technical side of the problem and the regulation of the issue at the state level.

The Prague conference was traditionally held at a high level. It productively answered the question: what competitive advantages can blockchain bring right now? Many businesses came for that, and we believe they left with quite ready-made solutions and roadmaps for implementing the technology.
