Selfascope, the revolutionary new selfie periscope allowing users to get a better vantage from above, is live on global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.Nothing is worse than being at a concert or sporting event and stuck behind a crowd struggling to see the action. Now imagine a periscope reaching above a crowd like a submarine periscope reaching above the surface of the water- that’s the Selfascope, a fun and inexpensive way to capture unique images without a ladder or higher platform.
“The idea arose while watching a golf tournament on TV. Everyone was reaching in the air trying to snap a picture over the crowd. I thought, what if we created a sort of periscope attachment for the phone,” says founder Joe Vogelpohl on the inspiration behind the project. “So I searched the internet, and there was nothing like it. We honed the idea, built a number of prototypes, and ended up with a really great product."
The patent-pending Selfascope is a simplistic two-piece model that attaches to a phone and a selfie stick, enabling views and images like never before. With perfectly aligned mirrors on the top portion and at the base of the self stick, users are able to clearly see from above.
One of the main advantages of using the Selfascope is for its ergonomic benefits. Instead of users having to hold their arms extended while cranking their necks, they can look in a relaxed position; just like staring at the phone itself in a normal position.
The Selfascope’s wide variety of use cases enable users to benefit and enjoy almost everywhere including:

“How many times have you seen a person reaching above the crowd with their cell phone, trying to take a picture? They can't reach high enough, and even if they can, they can't see the screen,” adds Dustin Vogelpohl, a partner at the company. “We created the Selfascope to solve both of those problems.”
