In the past, the rising costs of child care have been prohibitive, particularly for single parents, but as companies catch up and understand the need to invest in their employees, more and more people are thinking about building families.”
In a time when the economy is in an uptick and good employees aren’t as easy to find, many companies are adding to their childcare policies and family leave policies in a commendable attempt to attract quality staff members. “It isn’t impossible to imagine a future where all workplaces offer egg-freezing benefits or surrogacy financial assistance,” Zar comments, “We aren’t there yet, but it is something to keep an eye on into the future.”
