Storypod has just launched on Kickstarter. They have brought on Funded Today to help bring their product to a wider audience and increase pledges for the duration of the campaign.About Storypod
Storypod is a screen-free educational toy that delights your kids with interactive audio content, featuring famous classics, license favorites, and podcast-quality originals.
With Storypod you put a yarn figurine we called a “Craftie” on top and you're transported to a fascinating world of podcast-quality stories, music, and learning topics. Each Craftie has a magnet and a special chip in its bum that streams its content to Storypod, which is bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled (but purposely lacks a microphone for child-safe privacy). When you put a Craftie on Storypod for the first time, its content will download directly onto Storypod so your kids can play it anywhere offline without Wi-Fi.
Storypod so far has an audio library of 300+ tracks with over 30 hours of high-quality audio stories and songs in English and Spanish. Through the Storypod app, you and your family/friends can record your own messages to a special Craftie called myCraftie that your little ones will want to play over and over again! Send them greetings, tell them jokes, and read them their favorite stories from far away.
Pricing and Availability
Storypod is available to back now on Kickstarter. They are hopeful to see an increase in pledges with the help of Funded Today and their team. Once the campaign ends, the products are set to produce and ship to all backers by December 2020. The starting price for one Storypod is $74 USD.
