The centre offers STCW refresher courses covering basic maritime safety, firefighting, first aid, survival at sea, crowd management, crisis management, and other critical maritime skills.

The Liverpool maritime training facility has launched its safety training refresher course that complies with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW)for Seafarers. The STCW safety refresher training is mandatory for all crew serving on commercial vessels that are more than 24 feet in length—including merchant ships and large yachts.
The STCW Refresher Training Course lasts for one and a half days, covering personal survival techniques, firefighting, and fire prevention. This course is available to seafarers who have completed the STCW Basic Training Certification or updated their proficiency in the last 5 years.
Seascope Maritime Training Centre is accredited by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency of the Department for Transport. All refresher maritime safety courses are administered by experienced professionals. The STCW Refresher Training / Updated Proficiency in Fire and PST is conducted at Seascope Maritime Training Centre facilities in Liverpool and Antibes, France.
