It has been a brisk start to the Halloween selling season and demand for certain costumes are at a high. These costumes are requested and purchased more than many of the standard choices. The standard choices like Witch Costumes, Ghosts and Zombies are doing well but have been off compared with the character costumes for 2017.
The number one selling girl’s costume is a fight for first. They are Disney’s Descendants, Mal and Evie Costumes and Wonder Woman. On behalf of the boy’s the two top boy’s costumes are “It” (Pennywise Costume) as well as the new Penny Wise Masks. The runner up currently is the Boy’s Power Ranger Costumes and Masks. These continue to be popular costumes for the girls as well.
Infant and Toddler Costumes that are selling best are of course Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Coming in second are the Loveable Animal selection. These include the Lovable Lion, Wittle Wabbit and Itty Bitty Kitty.
In the woman’s costumes Wonder Woman Costumes are flying off the shelves. Sizes are getting limited and replenishing inventories will be difficult this late in the sales cycle. The store also sees a large demand for all the “Goddess” costumes and accessories. For the men, once again the Batman and Superman Costumes reign supreme. These are followed by the standard Policeman and Firefighter costumes.
Masks, wigs and accessories are also selling quickly this season. These include wigs and masks representing President Trump, Harley Quinn Masks. Day of the Dead accessories are year round favorites along with Doctor Lab Coats and matching accessories which include stethoscopes, surgeon masks, Surgeons Reflector, Nurse Caps and Novelty Thermometers.
