Emilia Wickstead x MatchesFashion boldly took the fashion crowd off site to Coogee Beach for an interactive experience. Set along the rockpools of the famous Wylies Baths, models one by one descended the pool’s wooden deck stairs and glided along wearing the ethereal printed collection inspired by old photos of holiday makers on the Mediterranean coast. Cult Australian fashion label Camilla closed off MBFWA with a Japanese style garden show complete with traditional dancers and a giant cherry blossom tree. The dramatic collection and performance earned a standing ovation from the Australian fashion industry.
