Kim John Payne, an early childhood and parenting advocate, will be visiting Toronto’s Waldorf Academy on October 26th, 2018, as part of a lecture and workshop tour for parents.

During the lecture, Payne will be discussing topics such as: finding a parental voice, feeling seen and valued by the family, and what prevents parents from being at their best.

The accompanying workshop is titled “A Deeper Dive Into Parenting And Emotional Self Regulation”, and will cover a different set of topics. This includes how parents can avoid taking failures personally, how to avoid nagging, and breaking out of old emotionally triggering patterns, among others.

“I loved my children so much and yet I would get triggered by their behavior and become a person I just did not want to be,” says Kerry Donovan, a parent who attended one of Payne’s previous workshops. “I know it sounds cliched but this workshop changed everything. I seldom ever lose it anymore and we are all way more connected as a family.”

Kim John Payne, M.ED, is a #1 bestselling author, family counselor, researcher, and educator with nearly three decades of experience. He has consulted for educational associations around the world, including Canada, Australia, Ireland, Switzerland, Russia, Israel, South Africa, Thailand, China, and Hungary, and has worked extensively with Waldorf Education.

He also appears regularly in the media, including appearances in ABC, Fox, NBC, CBS, BBC, CBC, NPR, Sirius/XM, Time Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, the LA Times, Parenting, Mothering, and the Times Union.

The event is being held at Waldorf Academy. Payne will be delivering a lecture from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, and then holding the workshop from 3:40 to 5:00 pm.
