Slik Cart, the revolutionary next-generation carbon fiber sports hand cart, is live on global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.The sport of disc golf is one of the most rapidly growing sports in the world. There is a whole world of disc golf and the selection of carts to facilitate the game is minimal. Traditional bags get heavy after hours of walking. The stress can be detrimental to a player’s game and overall health. Thanks to the groundbreaking new Slik Cart, a growing community of professional and amateur disc golfers have discovered the ease and convenience that the next generation cart offers.
“One day I was playing in the aftermath of a rain storm and I had to set my bag holding my discs down in the mud to throw my next shot. I realized then that I needed a cart because I played so much and I was always carrying things with me,” says founder and director Ben Jackson on the inspiration behind the project. “I went online to start looking for a cart for disc golf and at that time only 6 years ago, there were no carts to speak of that you could buy. I started to work on my own design and it became more than a hobby. It became a mission to provide a full function disc golf cart that is durable and last a very long time.”
