Spurred by exploding demand for collectibles, and the thousands of record setting collectible card sales in the last 18 months, long-time friends, sport and auto enthusiasts Jeff Petrone and Jason Malyil have launched Savage Card Club to give aspiring collectors the chance to acquire rare/high value cards and benefit from the wealth being created off investments in the collectible space.
“We found that most people don’t know how to start getting involved in the collectible space,” says Mr. Malyil. “We started Savage Card Club to give people a shot at finding rare cards worth a lot of money, and also to give away exotic vehicles and some serious cash.”
The company acquires vintage and modern unopened packs of collectible cards which can contain cards worth thousands, tens of thousands, or potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in value. It then sells these card packs as well as high quality apparel, gear, art, detailing supplies, and more, with every $1 spent earning an entry to win the current major giveaway. The company’s first giveaway is a Lamborghini Gallardo and $20k cash.
“The $5.2 million sale of a Mickey Mantle card in January showed the insane interest there is in rare cards for our modern sports icons” says Mr. Petrone. “Who wouldn’t want the chance to open a pack and find a Jordan rookie, Brady rookie, or Gretzky rookie and win a Lamborghini at the same time?”
