Sandra Ingerman, Long Time Member Of The Southwestern College Board Of Advisors, Joins The School’s Board Of Trustees

Sandra Ingerman is an internationally respected, author, teacher and practitioner of Shamanic traditions. She has been a member of the Southwestern College’s Board of Advisors for several years. Now the school, which offers Master’s degrees in Art Therapy and Counseling, is pleased to announce that Ingerman has joined the Board of Trustees.

“We’re honored that Ms. Ingerman has agreed to become of our Trustees,” says Dr. James Nolan, President of Southwestern College. “The Board plays an important part in our institution, and her experience and reputation will be invaluable in the years to come.”

Ingerman has more than thirty years of teaching experience, including international  workshops on shamanic journeying, healing, and reversing environmental pollution using spiritual methods.  She has also trained and founded an international alliance of Medicine for the Earth Teachers and shamanic teachers.

In addition, Ingerman has penned nine books on healing the self and the environment and is the presenter of seven audio programs by Sounds True. She is a board certified expert on traumatic stress as well as certified in acute traumatic stress management. She was awarded the 2007 Peace Award from the Global Foundation for Integrative Medicine.

“Ms. Ingerman’s experience with the New Thought traditions aligns with the school and its mission, and her new role will give her an important role in guiding the college in the coming years,” concludes Nolan. “We’re grateful for her dedication to, and support of the school.”
