Hi Visibility Safety Clothing & Products Company Launches New Online Store & Partners With Non-Profit Organization To Promote Safety

BEND, Ore., DATE, October 23, 2019 – Safety Gear Supplies, a personalized work clothing company for the construction, utilities and transport industries, today announced the official launch of their online store which will allow customers to order their apparel directly and more easily from anywhere including job sites. In recognition of the milestone, a portion of each purchase will go to the Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation, which teaches safety and awareness for those who live, work and play near the nation’s oil-and-gas sites and pipelines.

Every year in the United States, 400,000 excavation projects damage underground infrastructure such as gas and water pipes and electric and cable lines. Operating underground infrastructure is an immense challenge and keeping it safe is a financial and environmental priority for workers, infrastructure companies and policy makers. Safety Gear Supplies has been working with project and safety managers in the construction, excavation, transport and utility industries, since 1996 providing them with branded safety garments for their workers and crews. As safety gear regulations have changed many times over the years, the company is always aware of current compliance requirements and are therefore able to provide products that meet those requirements. Though there are hundreds of options on the market to choose from, Safety Gear Supplies only offers the most durable, best quality products.

Luc Fortier, started Safety Gear Supplies under his parent company Pacific Marketing with the aim to help organizations promote their message through branded merchandise & logo apparel. With Safety Gear Supplies, the focus is on providing top quality work garments, including high visibility ANSI approved safety clothing, that are fully compliant and also succeed in keeping workers highly visible while on the job, even in poor weather conditions. With safety at the forefront, Fortier has been serving and supporting the ‘Click or Call 811 Before You Dig’ message for over twenty years and recognizes the critical role it plays in preventing fatal accidents. A call to 811 connects to a state’s ‘one-call center,’ which arranges, at no cost, for utilities to find out where pipelines are located, marking hindrances such as underground natural gas and electric lines so that construction equipment will steer clear. This prevention saves lives.

“Each year there are preventable injuries, deaths, harm to the environment or other losses caused by unsafe digging practices.” Says Fortier, “Because we have been serving and supporting the ‘Click or Call 811 Before You Dig’ message for over twenty years and recognize the critical role it plays in preventing fatal accidents, we are donating 50 cents from the sale of each item to the Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation to advance their mission.”

The Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation works first-hand with emergency responders, schools and communities nationwide to increase awareness of underground pipelines and utilities, improve emergency planning and encourage damage prevention. The foundation was started when Danny Smalley lost his daughter, Danielle, to a pipeline tragedy in 1996. The Foundation has since expanded its outreach to more than 40 states providing safety-and-awareness education to first responders, school systems and the general public. Its educational outreach is the longest-running and most-comprehensive pipeline safety school program of its kind.

Safety Gear Supplies’ new website allows customers to explore their growing catalog of safety and work products, and upload artwork to customize – pricing includes printing company logos on the garments – and free shipping on all orders. Safety Gear Supplies provides only the best quality classic workwear staples like t-shirts, hoodies and headwear that are designed for durability and comfort and are built for tough jobs and long-hours. The new website makes it easy to purchase necessary safety gear from anywhere – even while on a jobsite.

Promoting safety both by offering only top of the line products and working directly with the Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation, Safety Gear Supplies is committed to being a leader in promoting safe communities. A donation of 50 cents of every sale helps their customers do the same.
