Rustebakke Veterinary Service is pleased to announce the addition of three new employees to enhance the business. The Clarkston vet clinic, a full service large and small animal veterinary clinic, is located at 705 15th Street Clarkston WA, where it has been operating for the past nine years. Information about the services and the professional staff is available on social media sites. The three new faces at the highly acclaimed veterinary service are Dr. Rachel Miek DVM, Jonelle Overmyer, and Amber Alsterlund.A spokesperson for the clinic says, "We are excited to welcome Dr. Micek to our team in January of 2018! Dr. Micek graduated with a D.V.M. degree from Ross College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She recently completed a one-year equine internship at Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center in Cave Creek, Arizona. She grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada where she enjoyed hunter-jumper and dressage with her horse. Dr. Micek recently moved to Clarkston, WA where she lives with her dogs Abby and Rio, and cat Latte. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and relaxing."
Jonelle Overmyer is the new large animal technician. She has been with the clinic since April 2017. When not at work, Jonelle competes in ranch rodeos and amateur rodeos. She competes in breakaway roping and women's steer stopping. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her Corgi, Newt; and her horses! Jonelle also owns a leather company called Cowgirl Grit Leather Company where she produces high quality handmade leather goods designed for working cowboys and cowgirls.
As a member of the reception staff, Amber Alsterlund joined the team in January of 2018. She grew up in the Palouse area on a cattle and horse ranch. In her spare time, she enjoys riding, ranching, and competing in rodeos, barrel racing, and breakaway roping, throughout the Northwest. She recently competed in the 2017 Indian National Finals Rodeo. She enjoys traveling with her two-Quarter horses, Six and Sis, and her Border Collie, Colt.
