Rocky McElhaney Law Firm is proud to announce that this year’s partnership with Gallatin CARES raised $5623.00. Gallatin CARES provides over 6000 hot meals every year and supplies over 700,000 lbs. of donated food items to some of Gallatin and Sumner County’s most needy families and individuals.“We’re thrilled to be able to lend a helping hand to such a terrific organization,” said firm founder and CEO Rocky McElhaney. “For years, we’ve partnered up with Gallatin CARES so that we could give back to the community that means so much to us. We look forward to this drive every year, and we are so grateful to be able to help the people who need it the most.”
For the last several years, Rocky McElhaney Law Firm has held an annual fundraiser on behalf of Gallatin CARES. This year, the fundraiser ran from November 22, 2021, through December 15, 2021, with the firm accepting food and monetary donations. The money raised was used to purchase food in bulk at better prices than the general public usually receives. This means those dollars went farther to help more families, and helped Gallatin CARES get exactly the food items they were missing in order to build more complete and nutritious food boxes for those they serve.
This year, the firm and its partners offered four contactless drop-off points for donations, all located throughout Hendersonville.
About Gallatin CARES
Gallatin CARES (Christian Association for the Relief of Economic Suffering) has served the community since 1983. It “grew out of the vision of the Gallatin Ministerial Alliance to create a centralized place where our local people in need could come for assistance.” Gallatin CARES is a non-profit organization that offers monetary and short term relief for people and families in the Gallatin area and the surrounding Sumner County. The non-profit runs a food pantry and a thrift store and has been raising money for a new shelter.
